Oyo State Government has converted 1,591 local government ad-hoc workers across into permanent staff.
Governor Seyi Makinde approved the conversion of ad hoc staff in the service of the 33 local government councils last October to bridge the gap in the workforce at the local government level.
Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Ademola Ojo yesterday said the letters of appointment were ready for collection.
The Commissioner noted that the due process for the employment was followed effectively and perfected.
