Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, known as 2Baba, and his wife, Annie Macaulay, have filed for divorce.
2Baba announced the development on Instagram, stating, “I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now and currently filed for divorce. I would grant a press release soon… because I love my people and I need them to know my innocence or offense.”
The couple, married in 2012, has two children and was regarded as a power couple in Nigerian entertainment. However, their union faced numerous challenges, including allegations of infidelity.
In 2021, Annie accused 2Baba of spending nights with a baby mama after a family trip and claimed his family never accepted her. “I was never worthy to them. I have made so many sacrifices… God knows I have tried,” she wrote in a since-deleted post.
In 2023, 2Baba admitted his fear of losing Annie to another man.
