Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has expressed his delight with the emergence of Ekiti State University (EKSU) as the leading State University in Nigeria.
EKSU also secured the 12th position out of 270 universities in Nigeria (both public and private) according to a comprehensive ranking list published by Times Higher Education rating for 2025.
Governor Oyebanji, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, congratulated the university’s Chancellor, Dr Tunji Olowolafe, for his support and commitment towards the development of the University.
The Governor noted that EKSU’s leading position among fellow state-owned universities in the country is a positive advertisement of the state’s education sector, and a justification for his administration’s huge investment in education and human capital development.
