Cristiano Ronaldo added another achievement to his illustrious career, netting a brace in Al Nassr’s 3-1 victory over Al Khaleej in the Saudi Pro League on Tuesday night.
The win propelled Al Nassr to third place in the league standings with 32 points, narrowing the gap in their pursuit of AFC Champions League qualification.
The 39-year-old forward, football’s all-time leading scorer, brought his career tally to 919 goals. With 13 goals this season, Ronaldo now leads the Saudi Pro League golden boot race, surpassing Al Hilal’s Aleksandar Mitrović.
Since joining Al Nassr, Ronaldo has recorded 101 goal contributions in 92 games, including 83 goals and 18 assists. His prolific form keeps him on track to chase the historic 1,000 career goals milestone, now just 81 goals away.
Meanwhile, reports suggest Ronaldo is close to extending his contract with Al Nassr until 2026.
The deal is expected to see him earn an astounding £3.19 million per week, or £419,800 daily. His current contract earns him approximately £164 million per year from football, supplemented by an additional £49 million from off-field ventures.
