An oil tanker explosion that rocked Niger State today has left many dead and several others injured.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Niger State, Bologi Ibrahim, confirmed the development.
Report says the incident which occurred at Dikko junction around the Abuja-Kaduna expressway, left many burnt to death beyond recognition.
The Premium Motor Spirit (PMS)-ladened tanker was said to have exploded after some residents of the area went to scoop its content.
Scores were said to have been burnt to death, while several others sustained various degrees of burnt.
