President Bola Tinubu has called for national unity and peace in his Armed Forces Remembrance Day message to Nigerians.
In a message on X on Wednesday, the President who is currently in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) participating in the 2025 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, said it was important to honour fallen heroes while acknowledging contributions of current service members protecting Nigeria’s territorial integrity.
Tinubu urged citizens to become peace ambassadors and reject violence and division, stating that the nation’s prosperity depends on collective harmony.
He stressed that the annual commemoration serves as both a tribute to fallen service members and a reminder of the military’s continued sacrifices for national security.
