The Project Coordinator of Ekiti State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), Sunday Adunmo has hinted at the completion and commissioning of some of the roads which were awarded by the Project in 2024.
Adunmo who gave the hint in a recent interviews in said some of the roads are at advanced stages of completion.
The Project Coordinator who said contractors have been urged to redouble their efforts before the rains begin disclosed that the laying of asphalt on 3.4km FMS Farm – Oke Ako road would begin in February.
He added that the contractor handling the road has laid its sub-base up to kilometre 3 in preparation for asphalting.
Allaying the fear of shoddy job on the road, Adunmo said various teams, including the consultant, the State Project Monitoring Committee and the State Independent Project Monitoring Office, regularly monitored the projects for compliance to specifications.
On other project sites, the coordinator expressed confidence that asphalting would equally commence on Igbole-Osi-Iropora road, Enu Odi-Ita Eku-Igirigiri road and Oye-Are road by April 2025 as the RAAMP continues to ensure adherence to the plan of work submitted by the contractors.
