An indigene of Orin Ekiti in Ido/Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti state, OLUWAKEMI Florence dada is set to embark on a 240-hour “longest read-aloud marathon by an individual” for the Guinness World Record.
Guinness World Records, also known as The Guinness Book of Records is an annual reference book published in the United Kingdom that features a wide range of records, including human achievements, natural world records, and unusual talents.
OLUWAKEMI’s attempt is scheduled at The Light City Library, Ido-Ekiti, Ekiti state From 14 Dec, to Dec 24, 2024
Speaking with VEONEWS Oluwakemi, a graduate of Accounting Education, University of Nigeria, Nsukka said her attempt to break the record is to inspire young Nigerian to always exhibit the habit of reading and motivate them to learn.
The 240-hour read-a-thon will feature continuous reading sessions covering curated themes on history, literature, art and culture, traditional heritage, climate change, and, politics, Current affairs amongst others.
