Ekiti State University (EKSU) Management has reviewed the fee regime for freshers in the 2024/2025 academic session. After consulting with the Students’ Union and considering the concerns of parents and stakeholders, the management decided to reduce the financial burden on parents.
According to a statement signed by the Deputy Registrar/Head, Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs, Bode Olofinmuagun, the new fee regime allows fresh students to pay a minimum of 70% of the approved fees for the first semester, with the balance of 30% payable during the second semester. Parents who can afford to pay the fees in full at once are encouraged to do so.
The university management emphasized its commitment to students’ welfare and will continue to explore ways to alleviate the financial burden on prospective indigent students. Consultations are ongoing with relevant stakeholders to roll out programs that can benefit students.
The management is also working to promote robust relationships with all stakeholders to ensure a conducive teaching and learning environment for students. EKSU is committed to providing quality education while being sensitive to the economic realities in the country.
The university’s decision to review the fee regime is seen as a positive step towards addressing the concerns of parents and students. The management’s commitment to students’ welfare is evident in its efforts to explore alternative funding options and provide support to indigent students.
The EKSU management has assured that it will continue to work towards providing a conducive learning environment for all students.
