Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has appointed renowned journalist Sulaiman Aledeh as the substantive Managing Director of Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS).
A statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, highlighted Aledeh’s extensive media experience, including roles at Al Jazeera, Channels TV, and Arise News.
“Aledeh’s appointment reflects his commitment to excellence in media and communications,” it read.
Aledeh, an alumnus of the University of Benin and a media veteran with over two decades of experience, began his career at EBS as a student. He later contributed to Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Channels Television, and Arise News, among others.
Renowned for his strategic communication skills, Aledeh’s leadership at Eko Disco and contributions to national and international media underscore his qualifications. A Fellow of the Institute of Public Diplomacy, he also holds a Master’s in Humanitarian and Refugee Studies.
His appointment takes immediate effect.
