Gunmen said to be enforcing the outlawed sit-at-home order in Anambra state have wreaked havoc on Monday morning throwing communities in the state’s Central Senatorial Zone in tension
It was gathered that the attacks which happened between 8am and 10am in Abatete, Abagana and Ukpo left no fewer than five persons dead.
A source told newsmen that the casualties were mainly men of the Anambra Vigilante services.
According to report, the first attack was said to have happened in Abatete town, targeting vigilant personnel attached to the town’s President-General (PG).
Three security men were shot and killed in the hail of bullets.
The PG was also said to have been critically injured and rushed to a nearby hospital.
In separate incidents, the gunmen attacked Abagana and Ukpo communities.
