Dear Mr. Anthony,
I think the following are the issues IPMAN raised that you should address.
- IPMAN came to your office 4 times to have a meeting with DR on how to lift petrol and they were denied access. Do you have any evidence of dealings with IPMAN
- IPMAN said you prefer to deal with individual Marketers instead of IPMAN.
- You have not been able to meet up with 25 to 50million litres capacity daily.
- You never carried them along as major stakeholder in all your activities in the industry
- As a new entrant you want to monopolize the industry.
Above are the issues your press release should address.
Your communicator error.
- You keep making same mistakes in your communication of your continuous attack on the regulator/FG. Let’s concede that NMDPRA does not have a Lab must you say same? No matter how small the regulator may be. You can’t be bigger than the regulator whose license you are holding. “48 Laws of Power” will be helpful here.
- It’s not true that if any marketer bring in product at a lesser price than you means the product is substandard. The truth is that you can’t compete with international refiners. These refineries have been built over 100 years ago and have made return on investment over multiples of time. You are just less than a year you need to pay back loan at the highest rates and FX.
- What is true is that FG needs to protect you regardless of what you may have done to hurt them because to do otherwise will be costly
Finally, may I say your business fundamentals are flawed because in this business that is now seen has a competitor to NNPCL you are on your own to guarantee your feedstock and your demand and not NNPCL or NMDPRA.
May wise counsel prevail.
