The Ondo State Governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa has today announced that the state government would begin implementing a minimum wage of N73,000 for civil servants in the state this November.
It was gathered that the Federal Government commenced payment of the N70,000 new salary and its consequential adjustments to public servants across all levels of federal civil service in September.
Aiyedatiwa made the announcement during the 2024 Public Service Week celebration, an event marked by a fitness walk aimed at promoting the health and well-being of public workers.
In his address to the workers, the governor stressed that the welfare of civil servants would continue to be a priority for his administration, adding that the new minimum wage was a settled matter and a testament to his administration’s focus on improving the quality of life for the state’s workforce
