Kano State Government has announced a restriction of movement across the state as part of security measures ahead of the local government elections scheduled for the Local Government election scheduled for Saturday, October 26.
The directive was made public in a press statement signed by the Commissioner of Information, Baba Halilu Dantiye, on Friday.
According to the statement, the restriction is expected to last from midnight until 6 p.m. on election day. This move is aimed at ensuring peaceful and orderly conduct of the polls.
