The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Kaduna state chapter, has called on President Bola Tinubu to review the membership of the North-West Development Commission (NWDC) to reflect the true composition of religious and ethnic groups in the zone for effective coordination and successful implementation of policies and programmes under the commission.
State chairman of the association, Pastor Caleb Ma’aji, made the call in Kaduna, while receiving officials of the Northern Christian Youth Professionals on a courtesy visit for closer collaboration and understanding for future engagements.
Represented by Secretary of the association, Emmanuel Okunlola, the CAN Chairman said Nigeria is a diverse country with multi-cultural and multi-ethic groups that must be taken into consideration by those in authority in the spirit of diversity and peaceful coexistence.
Ma’aji also reminded Governor Uba Sani of the need to urgently reconstruct the Church as he earlier promised in Kuriga Community of Chikun local government where the church was burnt down and properties destroyed.
The CAN Chairman then called for patience and resilience with the difficulties being experienced amongst Nigerians and called for trust in the government for a better future and national survival
