The Lagos Police Command is probing the death of a 45-year-old labourer, Nwanneka Ogbonaya, after some blocks fell on him at a construction site.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin said the incident happened on Friday at Opebi in Ikeja.
According to Hundeyin Ogbonaya was working at a construction site where the old building was being demolished to make way for a new structure when blocks suddenly collapsed on him and led to body injuries and consequent death.
The police spokesperson said, “He was rushed to the Lagos State Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) where the doctor on duty confirmed him dead.”
