The Ministry of Education has said it is working to prevent another strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Asuu.

The Director of Press in the ministry, Folasade Biriowo, stated this in an interview with Journalist in Abuja on Sunday.

“I can assure you that everything is being done to prevent the strike from happening. The minister has teams working already so I can give you that assurance,” Birjowo said.

Recall ASUU had last week given the Federal Government a 14-day ultimatum to resolve several lingering issues, failing which it would proceed on another strike.
