Hezbollah has confirmed the death of its leader, Hassan Nasrallah, in an Israeli airstrike near Beirut.
Israel Military earlier on Saturday stated Nasrallah was killed in a major escalation of their campaign against the Iran-backed group when its air force dropped more than 80 bombs on a group of residential buildings in the Hezbollah-dominated area known as the Dahiya.
Iraq’s prime minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, declared a three-day general mourning in all parts of Iraq after Nasrallah’s death.
Meanwhile, Hamas has vowed to make the resistance in Palestine and in Lebanon more determined and persistent in the wake of the killing of Nasrallah.
