A joint security team has uncovered hideouts of suspected criminals in Lilu, Mbosi and Iseke communities of Ihiala local government area of Anambra State, recovering three unexploded bombs, other dangerous materials and two abandoned vehicles.
In a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga said the criminal hideout was busted following the security intelligence gathered over time.
In appreciation, the Commissioner of Police, Nnaghe Obono Itam charged operatives to sustain the tempo of the operations and assured the public of the commitment of the police and other security agencies, to continue deal with criminal elements.
Ikenga stated that operations of the joint security team was still ongoing and promised to communicate any further development to the public.
