The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested three suspects – including two men and a woman, for alleged vote buying during the Edo governorship election.
The arrests were made at a polling unit in Egor Local Government Area of the state around 10:00 am on Saturday.
But some residents kicked against the arrest, insisting that the suspects were being victimised.
The commission had prior to the election, warned political parties against vote buying
Seventeen candidates are contesting for over 2.2 million votes across Edo’s 18 local government areas.
