Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has won his polling unit for his Peoples Democratic Party in the ongoing governorship election.
At polling unit PU19, Ward 04, Oredo LGA, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secured 127 votes, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) garnered 35 votes, and the Labour Party (LP) received 11 votes.
After voting, Obaseki commended the electoral process and the enthusiasm of voters, despite the heavy rain. He noted the large turnout and expressed satisfaction with the smooth conduct at his polling unit, hoping the collation process would be equally peaceful.
On the other hand, the Labour Party candidate, Olumide Akpata, lost at his polling unit, PU11, Ward 06, Oredo LGA, with 32 votes to PDP’s 41.
