Former Governor of Edo State, Senator Adams Oshiomhole has denied allegations that the All Progressives Congress (APC) resorted to vote buying during Saturday’s poll.
Speaking to journalists after voting at Iyamho, Estako West, he dismissed the claims from opposition parties as “laughable.”
“Did you see anywhere they are sharing money?” Oshiomhole asked, insisting that the large voter turnout was due to people’s desire for good governance.
He credited his past achievements as governor for the support, stating, “People came out because of what I have done for them, not for money.”
He said,“All structures that I have put in place 12, 13 years ago are still there but the ones put up by the present administration, in one year, they are washed off.
“So our people have seen the difference. Some people do tell me that since I left the government, they haven’t seen the real presence of government in their communities.”
