Former Arsenal striker, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas has been charged to court for importing £600,000 worth of cannabis at Stansted Airport.
The Greenock Morton striker was arrested after UK Border Force officials found several suitcases containing the drugs had arrived in the United Kingdom on a flight from Bangkok, Thailand on September 2.
According to the National Crime Agency (NCA), the footballer has been held in police custody and is due to appear at Carlisle Magistrates Court today.
