
Lagos state government has assured that the Lekki-Epe International Airport will be a world class facility, with the aim of alleviating congestion at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport and improving infrastructure along the Lekki-Epe corridor.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in a post on social media explained that his administration embarked on a a two-day working visit to Portugal, in a bid to attract skilled, trustworthy, and capable foreign investors to support the THEMES+ development agenda.
According to him, the primary focus was a potential collaboration with Mota-Engil Consortium, one of the largest construction companies in Europe, who constructed the Francisco Sá Carneiro, Porto International Airport.
Sanwo-Olu said the delegation also visited their waste management facilities and real estate operations, noting that a collaboration with Mota-Engil who has an impressive track record of delivering large infrastructure projects in Africa will be monumental for the state.
