Over 35 Muslims traveling to Samunaka in Kaduna State for Maulud celebrations died in a tragic accident. Their J5 bus collided head-on with a truck near Samunaka in Lere Local Government Area.
Malam Abdullahi, one of the event organizers, said the accident disrupted their plans. He mentioned that 35 other victims were taken to a medical facility in Plateau State for treatment. Another vehicle in their group also collided with a motorbike, causing more deaths and injuries.
“I counted about 70 people, including women and children. It was a sad event. The injured are receiving treatment at JUTH in Jos,” he said.
