The Ekiti government has said tourism studies will soon be introduced into the curriculum of primary and secondary schools in the state.
According to the Director General, Ekiti state bureau of tourism development, Ambassador Wale Ojo-Lanre, the development is part of Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration to foster sustainable tourism development in the state.
Speaking of Adamimogo 107.7fm’s current affairs program, “The Follow Up”, on Monday, Ojo-Lanre further described the state as a paragon of tourism noting that promoting its cultural values and heritage among younger generations is a priority of the state government.
The DG who further revealed that a tourism club will soon be launched in all schools in the state added that the bureau of tourism development is set to collaborate with transport workers to help enhance visitors experience, improve accessibility and preserve cultural asset for future generation.
