The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has confirmed the deployment of over 100 trucks scheduled to lift petrol from the Dangote refinery from Sunday.
A statement on the company’s X, confirmed that hundreds of trucks were still enroute to lift the product to all parts of the country.
The company, however, remains mum on what the price per litre would be with the latest development.
Last night Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service and member of the Presidential Committee on the Sale of Crude Oil and Refined Products, Zacch Adedeji, confirmed NNPCL will remain the sole off-taker of petrol from the Dangote Refinery, while other marketers will purchase their supplies from NNPCL.
Starting from October 1, NNPCL will supply 385,000 barrels of crude oil per day to the refinery, which will be paid for in Naira.
