President Bola Tinubu is expected to soon present the whistleblowing policy to the National Assembly for deliberation and possible passage into law.
This was disclosed by Minister of Finance, Wale Edun during a meeting in Abuja on implementing the policy intended to improve governance and combate corruption in Nigeria.
He reaffirmed that the policy would empower Nigerians to act as watchdogs, ensuring public institutions remain accountable.
Edun, then restated the government’s commitment to protecting whistleblowers, stating that those who come forward in the public interest will be safeguarded.
