The Nigerian Labour Congress has called on all national officers and affiliate unions to accompany its President, Joe Ajaero, to the Nigeria Police Force headquarters tomorrow.
They are to begin an indefinite strike if Ajaero is detained.
Last week, Ajaero was invited to answer questions regarding alleged criminal conspiracy, terrorism financing, and other charges but rescheduled due to his busy schedule.
In a circular issued today, NLC General Secretary Emmanuel Ugboaja instructed members nationwide to show solidarity with Ajaero by marching to state police headquarters in the state capitals and holding prayer sessions.
Ugboaja urged members to embark on a peaceful procession to their State Police Headquarters, where they will hold a prayer session until the
President’s interaction with the police is concluded.
“This peaceful march is a united stand against the unjust actions aimed at intimidating our leadership and stifling the voice of Nigerian workers
