The Nigeria Football Federation has appointed German coach Bruno Labbadia as the new head coach of the Super Eagles.
The announcement was made early Tuesday morning via the NFF’s official X handle.
Labbadia, who has managed several top German clubs, including VfB Stuttgart and Bayer Leverkusen, becomes the 37th head coach of Nigeria’s national team.
His appointment follows the resignation of Finidi George, who stepped down after failing to secure key victories in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
With Labbadia at the helm, the Super Eagles are set to improve their chances in upcoming matches.
The team will kick off their African Cup of Nations qualifiers on September 7 against Benin Republic, followed by a match against Rwanda on September 10.
