Tragedy has struck again as bandits invaded the Gobir community in Sokoto, kidnapping over 150 people, just days after the murder of their Emir, Alhaji Isa Muhammad Bawa.
The shocking development was revealed by Professor Bello Bada during an interview with Radio France International Hausa Service, monitored in Kaduna.
Professor Bada criticized the lapses in security that have emboldened the bandits, even allowing them to threaten former President Muhammadu Buhari.
He emphasised that the murder of the Emir is a humiliation to all Nigerians and urged for decisive action against the growing menace.
The University Don said such acts should not be left unchecked and allowed to become a recurring decimal, alleging that ” where these bandits are coming from is well known but the appropriate action against them is not well taken. “
