Nigerian music sensation Asake has surpassed Burna Boy to become the artist with the most songs on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart.
Asake’s latest album ‘Lungu Boy’ made a significant impact, with nine tracks from the release debuting on this week’s chart bringing Asake’s total entries to a record breaking 50.
Leading the charge is Asake’s collaboration with American rapper Travis Scott on the track ‘Active’, which sits atop the chart.
Since its launch in April 2022, the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart has been a showcase for Nigerian talent, with artists from the West African nation consistently dominating the rankings.
