The Katsina State Police Command has successfully raided a terrorist hideout between Dutsinma and Safana Local Government Areas, rescuing seven hostages and recovering one AK47 rifle.
According to the Command’s spokesperson, ASP Abubakar-Sadiq Aliyu, the hostages abducted from Farar Kasa and Shanga villages in Dutsinma were rescued unharmed and have been taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
The intelligence-led operation, conducted by a combined team of police operatives from Dutsinma Police Divisional Headquarters and local Vigilante members, was led by Divisional Police Officer CSP Bello Abdullahi Gusau.
The operation is ongoing as authorities work to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
