

Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), rescued an injured driver transporting gas in a tanker along the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway on Wednesday.
It was gathered that the tanker overturned during motion.
The spokesperson for the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Adebayo Taofiq, confirmed the incident, adding that the swift intervention of LASTMA personnel, in conjunction with the efforts of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, averted a potential disaster resulting from the incident.
The statement explained that operatives led by General Manager of LASTMA, Olalekan Bakare-Oki evacuated the tanker and its loaded gas cylinder allowing for the restoration of vehicular movement in the affected areas, including Gbagada, Iyana-Oworo, Car Wash, Ifako, and Toll Gate.
