Retail oil marketers in the country have distanced themselves from the ongoing petrol scarcity, attributing the issue instead to lingering logistics challenges and supply constraints.
This was disclosed by the President of the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association (PETROAN), Billy Gillis-Harry, during an interview on a televised program today.
According to Gillis-Harry, oil marketers are facing supply constraints and can only distribute the limited quantities available.
He noted that petrol scarcity will persist until these supply issues are resolved, but assured that marketers are in discussions with the NNPCL to find a long-lasting solution.
