The Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare has condemned the abduction of 20 medical students and a house officer in Benue State.
The Ministry Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, Ado Bako, in a statement urged the relevant security agencies to intensify efforts to secure the release of the abducted students and arrest of the perpetrators of this heinous crime.
Earlier the Police Force Spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi announced the arrival of more detectives as dispatched by the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun in Benue State to aid in the rescue of the abducted medical students.
Adejobi in a statement praised citizens who had been discreetly providing vital information to the police, urging those sharing sensitive details on social media to refrain from doing so.
