The police in Kano have announced the arrest of a notorious armed robber identified as Hassan Iliya, of Alhazawa Village, Musawa local government area of Katsina State.
The Police claimed to have recovered two AK-47 rifles with 47 rounds of live ammunition as well as N4.9 million.
Police spokesman, Abdullahi Kiyawa, said a resident of Yandadi Village, Kunchi local government area of Kano State had on Monday reported that armed robbers stormed his residence, attacked him, and robbed him of N15 million.
Upon getting the report, the Commissioner of Police, Salman Garba, directed a team of detectives to conduct intelligence-led patrols to arrest the culprits and recover their operational weapons leading to the arrest of Iliya.
