The de facto Democratic nominee for US president, Kamala Harris has named the governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, as her running mate ahead of the November election.
The decision ends intense speculation over which candidate Harris would pick to go up against Donald Trump, the Republican nominee and former president, and his choice for vice-president, Ohio senator JD Vance.
Harris interviewed several top contenders in Washington DC over the weekend, including governors Josh Shapiro and Tim Walz and Senator Mark Kelly.
Both will hold a rally at the Liacouras Centre, Philadelphia which holds more than 10,000 people.
