The Federal Government has again appealed to persons behind the planned nationwide protest, begging for more time from Nigerians.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris said this, while briefing newsmen after a meeting held by members of the Federal Executive Council, at the instance of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume.
Idris described the planned protests as a family matter, noting that all issues would be resolved in a way to ensure the peace and stability of the country.
In the meantime, the chairman Minority Caucus of the House of Representatives, Kingsley Chinda, has urged the Federal Government to engage in talks with the protesters, pleading that the President should intervene and ensure that issues are resolved amicably.
