The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecast thunderstorms and rainfall across the country from Sunday to Tuesday.
Sunday will see thunderstorms and rain in parts of Adamawa, Taraba, Borno, Kebbi, Kaduna, Gombe, and Yobe States, with similar weather expected across the northern region later in the day.
NiMet predicts moderate thunderstorms and rain over parts of the Federal Capital Territory, Plateau, Benue, and Kogi States.
Intermittent rains are expected in Ondo, Ogun, Edo, Bayelsa, Cross River, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, and Delta States.
For Monday, morning thunderstorms are forecast in Kebbi, Sokoto, Bauchi, Kaduna, Borno, Taraba, and Katsina States.
Later, moderate thunderstorms will affect Jigawa, Kebbi, Kaduna, Sokoto, Borno, Zamfara, Yobe, Adamawa, and Katsina States.
Tuesday will see similar weather patterns in Yobe, Adamawa, Borno, and Taraba States. NiMet advises the public to take precautions, especially in flood-prone areas.
