No less than 10 persons have been murdered by gunmen in Olegumachi community in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State.
Confirming the incident, Chairman of the local government, Phillip Ebenyakwu, who confirmed the incident to journalists on Wednesday said the attackers who invaded the community on Tuesday evening, July 9, 2024, also burnt down seven houses.
“About seven houses were burnt down, they went away with many properties and animals such as goats and fowls.
Ebenyakwu said he had reported the incident to the police and the Department of State Security.
