Nine suspected kidnappers have been killed during a confrontation with police in Lagos.
This was disclosed by Police Spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin who explained that the incident occurred in the Ladipo area of Mushin after police received intelligence about the group’s kidnapping operations in Okota, Ejigbo and Areas.
Hundeyin reported that the suspects engaged in a shootout with officers but were ultimately overpowered but Two suspects escaped with injuries.
Recovered weapons include four AK-47 rifles, four locally-made pistols, nine magazines, and three walkie-talkies.
He urged “everyone including medical practitioners to be on the lookout for anyone with gunshot injuries and promptly inform the nearest police station or call any of our emergency numbers if they come across any.”
