The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, has confirmed the rescue of seven people who were trapped in a two-storey building that collapsed at Cameron Street, Ewenla, Mushin.
VeoNewsNG gathered two people sustained minor injuries while five sustained serious injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals.
LASEMA’s Permanent Secretary, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu said the seven persons comprising three females and four males, were rescued alive and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Noting that newly constructed two storey building area had been cordoned off while the agency and other key responders were on high alert.
He also urged Lagos residents to remain calm and refrain from any non-essential travels due to the incidence of flash flood across the state.
