Nasarawa state governor, Abdulahi Sule has assured that his state has structures and the wherewithal to implement President Bola Tinubu’s request of diversification and self-sufficiency, although such moves will take time to yield results.
Sule speaking during an interview stated that the President in his last meeting with the governors, charged them to focus on one source of revenue, to drive diversification, boost internally generated revenue and create sufficient supplies for local consumption.
According to him, his government has signed executive orders that address issues like mining and farming, to stabilize the naira and increase foreign exchange reserve by cutting down on the importation of major products, to generate revenue and boost local production.
Sule insisted that governors can facilitate sufficient production of the local consumption and increase internally generated revenue through policies tailored to amplify their comparative advantages.
