The family of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange have asked the public for privacy to allow him recuperate after reuniting with his family for the first time in 12 years.
Assange landed back home in Australia, a free man for the first time in 12 years, after a U.S judge signed off on his unexpected plea deal today.
Speaking shortly after being reunited with her husband, Stella Assange said he would speak when he was ready, but needed time.
The WikiLeaks founder spent 12 years away from his family – 7 in an Ecuador Embassy in London and Five years in a UK prison as he fought plans to extradite him to the US for releasing classified documents on the US Mission in Iraq and Afghanistan.
