Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai wants the Court to nullify the report of the Kaduna State House of Assembly which claimed his administration mismanaged 432bn leaving the state with huge debt liabilities.
El-Rufai’s primary reason for dragging the Assembly to the Federal High Court, Kaduna, is because he was reportedly not given the opportunity of fair hearing over the allegations levelled against him and his administration by the committee.
El-Rufai was physically present in court with his lawyer to file the fundamental rights suit against the Kaduna State House of Assembly.
Recall the chairman of the probe committee set up by the Assembly, Henry Zacharia, said most of the loans obtained under the El-Rufai’s administration were not used for the purpose for which they were obtained, while in some cases, due process was not followed in securing the loans.
