A Federal High Court in Ikoyi, has struck out the suit against celebrity bartender, Pascal Okechukwu alias Cubana Chief Priest over alleged abuse of the Naira.
Justice Kehinde Ogundare struck out the charge following the adoption of terms of settlement between Okechukwu and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Recall the EFCC had arraigned the celebrity bartender on April 17, on a three-count charge of allegedly spraying and tampering with the Naira notes during a social event at the Eko hotel in Lagos.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of N10m with two responsible sureties in like sum each. His counsel later explored out-of-court settlement with the anti-graft agency.
Confirming the report on his Instagram, Okechukwu urged fans not to mutilate the naira but suggested they could do it to the dollar note.
