Oyo state Governor Seyi Makinde has acknowledged receipt of the recommendation of Oba Owolabi Olakulehin as the 43rd Olubadan by the Olubadan-in-Council, noting that due process has been followed in the selection process.
Makinde speaking at the final burial ceremony of the late Olubadan, Oba Lekan Balogun said Oba Olakulehin will be enthroned as soon as the Olubadan-designate is strong enough for the processes.
The governor who assured that all things will be done in line with existing norms, urged the family members of the late monarch and residents of the state to be happy the late monarch lived a fulfilled and impactful life.
Oba Balogun died on March 14, 2024 at 81, sitting on the stool of authority for two years and was buried according to Muslim rites a day after his death.
