The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has announced its intention to disconnect several major institutions, including the Defence Headquarters, Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, and various ministries, over unpaid electricity bills.
In a notice issued on Saturday, AEDC set a deadline of June 3, 2024, for the settlement of these debts to avoid disconnection.
Among those listed are the Kogi and Niger State governments. AEDC emphasized the necessity of timely bill payments to maintain and improve their infrastructure, ensuring reliable service.

AEDC urged all listed customers to clear their outstanding bills promptly to avoid disruption of their electricity supply.
