
Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho, has confirmed the collapse of a four-story building on Lagos Island, trapping an unknown number of people.
Omotosho who share the news via X, said the incident occurred at Iga Iduganran, near the Oba of Lagos’ palace, noting that officials of Emergency Management Agency have rescued eight people

According to him, the structure had been marked by LASBCA for evacuation.
The collapse is coming less than a week after an 11-year-old girl and three persons lost their lives when a mosque that was hit by an excavator collapsed in the Papa Ajao area of Lagos State.
